REDDS Riders are our brand ambassadors and who we have our eyes on to represent youth culture. They have a distinct take and specific kind of influence on music, fashion, art, and design.
This month we’re introducing to you some of our favourite DJs in Australia right now, and they just so happen to be an all-girl cast. They’re creating opportunities for themselves and representing women in Australian music in their own unique ways.
Be In The Cut with our DJ Riders; find out who they are, where to see them next, and what’s in their red cup. Come ride with us.
‘JESABEL’
@jesabeldj
Jess is an Australian based DJ and producer. She tours nationally each week, and internationally reaching South-East Asia and New Zealand. Mixing house and electro beats, she’s performed at major clubs and festivals including Marquee Singapore and Omnia Bali just to name a few. On the side, she’s a massive foodie and is obsessed with her beloved kitty cat Zahli.
Don’t miss the chance to see her live at Sydney’s biggest venues, including Marquee and Ivy. If you happen to be in Singapore from 13 – 15 November, you can catch her at It’s The Ship, the biggest festival at sea in Asia.
What’s in JESABEL’s red cup?
“Straight Fireball.”
‘Jade Le Flay’
@jadeleflay
Jade Le Flay is the self-appointed CEO of her own damn self. She enjoys boujee French restaurants, making music and occasionally DJs. Her number one goal in life is to have six babies and become a Cool Dance Mum™.
ICYMI, we linked up with Jade to get an inside look to Listen Out Sydney 2019 through her eyes. Not only did she play a set – she also met the legendary Diplo, and rubbed shoulders with some of the top dogs of hip-hop including 6LACK, Doja Cat and ScHoolboy Q. Truly living her best life…
What’s in Jade’s red cup?
“Vodka, fresh lime and soda.”
‘Latifa Tee’
@latifatee
Latifa Tee is a DJ, R&B recording artist, radio host and sneakerhead from Sydney. On weekdays, you’ll find her studying law at the University of Sydney – but on weekends, you’ll find her serving rap at clubs around Australia and presenting on FBi Radio, which airs every Sunday from 12 pm – 2 pm on 94.5m. She rates Frank Ocean, chocolate glazed donuts, and pretending she’s living in her own version of Hannah Montana.
Recently announced as the JD Sports “Women’s Month Host” for October 2019 – she’s a certified sneakerhead. You won’t miss a chance to see her live – she’s got a stacked list of gigs lined up, including RnB Fridays, Rogue Saturdays at Establishment, and The Carter. Keep up if you can…
What’s in Latifa’s red cup?
“Hands down, it’s a Midori pineapple. I’m a sucker for anything sweet.”
‘NAØMI’
@naomisalimm
Naomi is a Sydney-based DJ and selector. Currently in her gap year, she is heading back to uni next year to study a Bachelor of Business to further execute her own music career (big yes). Her goal is to make it big enough in the music industry to be able give a platform to artists for labels and festivals.
Find her dropping the likes of Kaytranada and Megan Thee Stallion at some of the best of the music festival circuit, from Secret Garden through to Big Sound.
What’s in Naomi’s red cup?
“Tequila Sunrise… preferably Sierra Tequila”
